n8n consultant for workflows you can leave alone.

I build the n8n you can leave alone: self-hosted on a server you own, with retries, error alerts that reach a person, backups and a runbook you can follow. A written plan and price within 24 hours.

Prices from my Upwork catalog, checked on 10 October 2026. Custom work is scoped and priced in writing within 24 hours of a call.

Not a fit if you want someone watching your instance around the clock. I hand over alerting, not a night shift.

See every package and its three tiers

  1. 30-minute call.

You walk me through the process that eats your week.

  2. Written plan and price in 24 hours.

Fixed scope, fixed price, milestones. If it is not worth automating, I will say so.

  3. Weekly milestones.

You see working software every week, in your own accounts.

  4. Handover.

Documentation, a walkthrough video and error alerts, so it keeps running without me.

If the first build misses what we agreed, I rework it at no extra charge.

An n8n consultant builds, fixes and self-hosts n8n workflows so they keep running without you: retries, error alerts, backups and a runbook. A written plan and price within 24 hours.

Should I self-host n8n or use n8n Cloud?

n8n Cloud is the fastest start and someone else runs the server. Self-hosting the community edition gives you full control of your data and no per-execution fee, but you own the server, the updates and the backups. I set up either, and I have published step-by-step guides for Oracle Cloud Free Tier and for a Hostinger VPS.

What does n8n actually cost to run?

The community edition licence is free; what you pay for is the server. One client's entire stack, nine services on a single Oracle Cloud Always Free Arm VM, cost $0 a month in hosting at delivery in 2025. Oracle cut that free allowance to 2 OCPUs and 12 GB in mid-2026, so size a new build against today's limit.

Can you finish workflows another developer started?

Yes, and it is a large share of what I get hired for. A previous developer once left two workflows about 90% done and switched off. I finished the import with email and phone normalisation, a three-step lookup with no-match logging, and invalid rows that skip and log, and re-runs now create zero duplicates.

How do I know when a workflow failed?

An error-handler workflow catches the failure and emails a person, with the workflow name and the execution. Retries cover the transient cases, a 403 escalates instead of retrying, and every schedule is pinned to your time zone so a date calculation does not quietly drift by a day.

Do you work in my n8n or yours?

Yours, always. The instance, the credentials and the workflows live in your account or on your server from the first day. Everything is built in accounts you own. After full payment, the work is yours. If you only want advice rather than a build, a paid consultation on Upwork is $40 per 30 minutes.
